Episode 2 -
As he trugged wearily to the house, he reflected briefly on the events of the last 24 hours, they truly had proven to be the most turmultuous of his life, lightening and water had ripped their way through life at the little house, and all had been swept before it. Earlier in the week The Ministry of Agriculture in their white coats had made light work of his herd and now the weather - something to do with global warnmin was ripping its way through the land - first the TB then the rain then floods - Rowd couldnt remember a year like it - and its impact was having a strange impact on his ability to rationalise what was real.
Well Where Do We Begin?
Episode 1 -
It was a dark and cold night in winderbach, the dogs were sleepin and cats out scrattin. Rowd had locked the chickens in for the night and all seemed at peace, except that there was that old familar anxious feelin at the back of his neck, he couldnt shake it and it was getting worse - something was about to happen.
As he walked back to the house, he could hear the magnolia tree rustling under the weight of its flowers, the night was damp, dark and unnervingly still. The days events reeled in his head and he longed for the warmth of the old kitchen aga.
